TRANSPORTATION PLANNER / STEWART

SEPTEMBER 2021 - MAY 2023 / RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA

Developed over 30 planning documents for municipalities across North Carolina and state agencies (NCDOT) ranging from Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plans, Bicycle and Pedestrian Plans, and State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) projects in the design and feasibility stages with NEPA/SEPA compliance documents and public engagement. 

 

CONSULTANT / BICYCLE COLORADO

DECEMBER 2019 - SEPTEMBER 2021 / DENVER, COLORADO 

Assisted Colorado's statewide cycling advocacy organization with creating the Neighborhood Navigators program that replaced over 1,800 Single Occupancy Vehicle (SOV) commute trips with bike commute trips. Collected survey and user data for the Denver Moves Project, the City and County of Denver's 125 miles of bikeways initiative. 

PLANNING AND TRANSPORTATION DEMAND MANAGEMENT (TDM) PROJECTS MANAGER /

BOULDER TRANSPORTATION CONNECTIONS

SEPTEMBER 2019 - SEPTEMBER 2021 / BOULDER, COLORADO 

Secured and managed over $500,000 of grant funds for projects that created multi-modal transportation options and placemaking spaces in Boulder. Managed regional and statewide multi-modal stakeholder groups for policy and planning issues. Hosted the nation's second largest Bike to Work Day in the United States, which included developing 30 programs, trainings, and events throughout Walk and Bike Month. 

PLANNER / GRAND COUNTY, COLORADO

DECEMBER 2018- JULY 2021* / HOT SULPHUR SPRINGS, COLORADO 

Facilitated public processes related to land use and zoning changes. Led Colorado's first Regional Drought Contingency Plan in partnership with the Sonoran Institute. 

*Assisted as a consultant for the Drought Preparedness Plan from August 2019 to July 2021.  

FELLOW / COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (CDOT)

MAY 2017-OCTOBER 2017 / DENVER, CO

Executed projects in the Engineering Applications Department, Office of Process Improvement, and the Division of Transit and Rail. Projects included, but were not limited to eConstruction, creating the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) State Management Plan, and managing consultant teams for the CDOT Situational Awareness project.

MAY 2016-AUGUST 2016 / WASHINGTON, D.C.

Preformed research for the Louisiana District 6 (LA-06) DC Congressional office for transportation and infrastructure policy related issues and provided constituent services.

 

COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT/ ROGER HADFIELD OGDEN HONORS COLLEGE

OCTOBER 2015- MAY 2017 / BATON ROUGE, LA

Assisted the Honors College Communication Coordinator in various tasks including “This Week in Honors”, promotional designs, website coding, and copy writing.

INTERN / OFFICE OF THE MAYOR PRESIDENT - BATON ROUGE

DECEMBER 2015- JUNE 2016 / BATON ROUGE, LA

Developed a strategic promotional plan for Healthy Baton Rouge’s website re-launch. Generated weekly emails to community partners involving obesity, clinical trials, and Baton Rouge area events regarding various health-related issues. Created a one-day Obesity Conference for members of the Louisiana community centered around research, non-profit organization collaboration, and Louisiana's Statewide Obesity Plans from keynote speakers from around the country and Louisiana.

RESEARCHER / LSU PUBLIC POLICY RESEARCH LAB

JANUARY 2014 - MAY 2014/ BATON ROUGE, LA

Conducted surveys to residents of Louisiana about health, the environment, economy and other relevant topics to the research lab.

ORGANIZER / ORGANIZING FOR AMERICA - OBAMA FOR AMERICA

APRIL 2012 - NOVEMBER 2012 / DENVER, CO

Built a grassroots volunteer effort in Douglas County. Colorado. Organized voter registration efforts including but not limited to large canvassing events and phone banks, and ran special events with surrogates and principals including POTUS, FLOTUS and other elected officials.
